The most famous work of art

This portrait of Joseph Haydn was painted during Haydn's first visit to London in 1790-1991. It was probably commissioned by music salesman and publisher John Bland for marketing purposes. The portrait was also later engraved by Hardy and published by Bland to reach a wider audience.
