René Magritte - Hegel’s Holiday

Regular price £12.95

In his own words, Magritte had the question: How can you show a glass of water in a painting in such a way that it is not indifferent? And after painting dozens of glass paintings, he developed a dialectical composition that unites two opposing relationships to water - containing it and repelling it. Magritte called this surreal painting a homage to Hegel's dialectic.
