Dürer's Rhinoceros is the name of a woodcut he made in 1515. The image is based on a written description and a short sketch by an unknown artist of an Indian who had arrived in Lisbon in 1515. Dürer never saw a real rhinoceros.

The most famous work of art

Brown Hare is a 1502 watercolor and body paint. It was painted in Dürer's workshop in 1502 and, along with his large piece of Turffrom, is considered a masterpiece of observation in the following year. The subject is rendered almost photographically.
